Chico! That was some mighty fine beer-weeking you did there. What a blast! The Chico News & Review thanks all the brewers, beer bars, restaurants, bottle shops, distributors, our co-presenters Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., all our beer-week sponsors and all the craft-beer fans for kicking so much butt on Chico Beer Week 2014. Here’s to next year, cheers!

There are 54 unique events to tap into for Chico Beer Week 2014 over the next 10 days (Oct. 9-18), from the Chico News & Review’s Nor Cal Beers & Bands kick-off party tonight (Thurs., Oct. 9) to Sierra Nevada’s annual Single Fresh Wet and Wild Harvest Festival on Saturday, Oct. 18, where more than 50 breweries, a who’s who of the most celebrated names in craft beer, will be joining Sierra Nevada in the hops celebration: Allagash, Ballast Point, The Bruery, Dogfish Head, Firestone Walker, Goose Island, Lagunitas, Russian River, and many more.
And in between there are so many amazing and unique craft beer experiences to be had: an explosion of creative events (one happening every day during beer week) from Winchester Goose (including unique events devoted to Speakeasy, Evil Twin, Berryessa, Ballast Point, Almanac, Firestone Walker, Hop Valley, Fall River); visits from Firestone Walker and Drakes at The Handle Bar; tap takeovers from Coronado and Firestone Walker at Burgers & Brew; food-truck parking lot party at Spike’s Bottle Shop; and a slew of beer/food pairing events (Wildcard at Leon Bistro; Deschutes at Mom’s restaurant; Sierra Nevada beer cocktails and food trucks at Argus; Feather River and brats at Shenanigans; Great State Coffee/Hop Valley Brewing breakfast at the Goose; Feather Falls autumn pairings at the brewery in Oroville).
